January 2017

Honor student Janiah Tillery has been awarded a full scholarship to Roanoke College!  Janiah is enrolled as a pre-med major for the fall term at this 171 year old private college in Salem, Virginia.  This is a major step in her dream of becoming a medical doctor. Janiah is  a hardworking, well-rounded student. In addition to being an honor student, she also has a Saturday job, is a peer educator at Planned Parenthood, attends the Mission Fit gym, and participates in weightlifting competitions. Her mother, Donnita McGowan, and sponsor, Lisa Knickmeyer, share in this great success.  Congratulations Janiah!...
