Conversation with Carlos Avent

We had a stimulating and unique Conversation today with author Carlos Avent. Carlos is not only an accomplished author but he is also the parent of one of our students – Lyric. He shared his life and educational journey as well as lessons from his job at Johns Hopkins University where he works with first generation and low income students. Carlos gave each student a copy of his book “10 Extraordinary Lessons from an ordinary Dad.” He left the students with many valuable tips especially about college and important insights into life.
