Enslavement and Resistance in Maryland

We had an amazing seminar with the Maryland Center for History & Culture on Enslavement and Resistance in Maryland (MCHC).  MCHC Digital Learning Manager Tyler Osborne conducted this fascinating learning experience examining the history of slavery in Maryland and the heroes among the formerly enslaved who resisted.

Using some of the many objects held in the collection of MCHC, Tyler utilized original writings, documents, art and photographs to teach the students how to examine primary sources to uncover historical facts and context.  This seminar was conducted using ZOOM though we would like to visit  MCHC before the year is out.  We appreciate Tyler who taught a seminar to our students last year as well and MCHC for bringing this important topic into our classroom.
