Jayla Nickens-Gill was accepted into Hood College in Frederick, her first choice, with a Leadership Award Scholarship! Ethan Christou was accepted into his first choice college, Loyola University, with both a Dean's Scholarship and a Loyola Grant. We are so very proud of Jayla and Ethan and applaud their accomplishments....

Through a partnership with the University of Baltimore, students have successfully completed Math 115 Introductory Statistics and earned college credits. We are deeply thankful to U of B, their dual enrollment team – John Brenner and Philippia Richardson, and Professsor Adejokea Ajayi who taught the course at the school with professionalism and care. This course was open for all 10th grade through 12th grade students - ALL of whom passed. Congratulations to our hard working students!...

We welcomed Class of 2010 TCS Alum Evan Green back to the school today.  Evan has been in the U.S. Air Force for the last 6 years where he has reached the rank of Sergeant.  He is currently stationed in Nevada though he also did a nearly 3 year stint at Aviano Air Base in Italy. Evan talked extensively about his travel and military experience. The students were keenly interested in his time at The Community School and growing up in Remington although discussion extended into favorite musical artists and sports figures. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the conversation with another proud graduate of The Community School....
