Conversation with Margaret Murphy

Three time national Emmy Award winning producer/director/writer/editor Margaret Murphy was our guest for our weekly “Conversation with…” series today. Ms. Murphy spoke about her early work as one of the first women producers in network sports as well as one of the original staff for the Nightline Program with Ted Koppel. Her long career continues as she still freelances projects. The students were particularly interested in her work on children’s programming including Sesame Street and in the many prominent people in the news she worked with or interviewed. Ms. Murphy even brought in one of her Emmy statues for the students to see and hold.
It was a real honor having this living legend at the school humbly and graciously sharing so many interesting stories.
