Conversation with Michele Bacon

We had a deeply meaningful “Conversation with…” young adult author Michele Bacon today. Ms. Bacon first visited the school in the spring of 2018 through an author visit arranged by Martha Marani and The Ivy Book Shop with the release of her book “Life Before”. What then was originally arranged to be a 45 minute visit grew into several hours of heartfelt conversation.
The relationship has continued throughout the years including a ZOOM session during the COVID times in 2021 when we read Michele’s book “Antipodes”..
When we decided to read Michele”s “Life Before” again this year, Michele offered to come and visit with us when she was going to be in Boston from her home on the West Coast.
This generosity and kindness is the same spirit she brought into our room today. The conversation spurred by the book went so much deeper and the hours spent were a true gift.
