Conversation with Mike Gallo

Long time friend of the school, Mike Gallo, came in for a “Conversation with…” session today. Mike shared his story from the challenges of his early childhood on the streets of Chicago to his finding success as a family man and a business executive.
Mike also shared his story about being a survivor of the infamous 1958 “Our Lady of the Angels School fire when he was in 4th grade there. This fire took the lives of 92 children and 3 staff with more than 160 injured. Despite the years, the story remains difficult for Mike to tell, but was an important part of his message about overcoming life’s challenges and adversities.
The students learned much from Mike’s time with us today and we are grateful for his honest and heartfelt sharing.
