Conversation with U.S. Congressman Mfume

We were honored to have Congressman Kweisi Mfume return to TCS for a Conversation with the students today. After some extensive personal introductions by the students and the Congressman, there was a lively discussion. The students had many questions about many of the issues of the day and the experiences of a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. Each student appreciated the personal encouragement and advice from Congressman Mfume as well as his candid sharing about his life ass a young man in Baltimore.
We also met and had a conversation after with Ray Conaway, the District Director of the Congressional Offices here in Baltimore. He shared information about his role and opportunities for young people to be involved and heard in politics.
