Dr. Scott Lectures at TCS
February 1, 2016
Professor of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, Dr. Alan Scott, presented to Year 2 Students today. The students were keenly interested and attentive as Dr. Scott spoke about his research in malaria. He traced the disease process as well as efforts to combat and eliminate malaria worldwide. Of special interest to the students was the link between sickle cell anemia as an adaptation to malaria in Sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Scott has offered to return as well as link other faculty from the School of Public Health to The Community School.
