DESCRIPTION:Bio\nMusician\, producer\, songwriter\, photographer\, writer\, and watercolorist George\nHagegeorge has credits on dozens of music releases as producer\, remixer\, musician\nand composer.  His photojournalism has been published in newspapers throughout\nMaryland including the Baltimore Sun\, The Baltimore Examiner\, and the Washington\nPost. George’s watercolor work began during covid lockdown and developed as he\nexperimented with various methods. \nClass\nGeorge’s demonstration/workshop will be about painting with watercolors\, with your\neyes closed. It will include a short introduction to his work and methods\, then most of\nthe hour will be dedicated to each of the students creating “eyes closed” watercolor\npaintings\, choosing their favorite and talking about it.

DESCRIPTION:https://www.kellyirvinedesign.art/ \nBio: \nKelly Irvine (she/her) is an abstract painter living and working in Baltimore\, MD. Her work explores the interaction of color and transparency to create visual depth and affect mood. She works primarily with thinned acrylic paint applied to raw canvas\, enabling new colors to form where transparent forms overlap. She often sews painted canvas and sheer fabric together\, allowing the sheer areas reveal the stretcher bars underneath\, thus drawing the viewer into the depths of the painting. \nCurrently an MFA candidate at Towson University\, Irvine received her bachelor’s degree in graphic design from University of Maryland and subsequently studied painting at the Yellow Barn in Glen Echo. She has mounted solo exhibitions at Touchstone Gallery in Washington\, DC and at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda\, MD. Her work has been selected for group exhibitions at The Delaware Contemporary in Wilmington\,  Hamilton Gallery\, Maryland Art Place\, and Gallery 410 in Baltimore\, as well as University of Mary Washington Galleries in Fredericksburg\, VA\, Martha Spak Gallery in Washington DC\, the Delaplaine Arts Center in Frederick\, MD\, and at Glen Echo Park in MD. \nKelly is a 2023 Maryland State Arts Council grant recipient.

Jenny has taught book arts as an adjunct professor in the University of Baltimore’s Creative Writing and Publishing Arts MFA program\, where she earned her MFA in 2006. DESCRIPTION:Rahne Alexander is an intermedia artist and writer from Baltimore\, Maryland. She is a 2021 graduate of the Intermedia+Digital Arts MFA at UMBC\, and a 2021 Baker Artist Prize Awardee. Her works in video\, performance\, music\, and painting have been exhibited across the U.S. and around the world\, including the Baltimore Museum of Art\, Tephra Institute of Contemporary Art\, and MIX NYC. She performs music as 50’ and formerly fronted the bands Santa Librada and The Degenerettes. DESCRIPTION:Bio\nChris Ciattei\, also known as “Batworth\,” is a Baltimore native\, drummer\, poet\, and creator of\nvisual art. Chris’s visual art is mostly mixed media photography-blending abstract and\nexpressionist augmentation—both analog and digital. His work has been shown at Katsea\nGallery\, Overlea Arts Fest\, and 1919\, and appeared in the May 2023 issue of The Light\nEkphrastic. Chris has read his poetry at a variety of venues over the last 35 years.
