Bio Chris Ciattei, also known as “Batworth,” is a Baltimore native, drummer, poet, and creator of visual art. Chris’s visual art is mostly mixed media photography-blending abstract and expressionist augmentation—both analog and digital. His work has been shown at Katsea Gallery, Overlea Arts Fest, and 1919, and appeared in the May 2023 issue of The Light Ekphrastic. Chris has read his poetry at a variety of venues over the last 35 years. His recent book of poetry Nothing Doing was published by Apathy Press in 2022. I will be presenting samples of my visual art, and discussing the various processes involved in their creation. I Will also discuss how my visual art, poetry, and music have had a beneficial effect on one another. I will also discuss my experience in the local music and literary scene.
