Investing: Why and How!
We had a special seminar on investing in our monthly Financial Literacy series today. The students learned that putting just a dollar a day away, investing in the stock market and letting the earnings and deposits remain invested will yield big results over time. In 40 years, a $30/month investment will yield about $160,000 with an investment of $14,000 total in that time.
This series is sponsored and staffed by Berman McAleer under the guidance of Kathleen Gower. Today’s presenters were Brian Carroll, Adam Murray and Adaiha Montgomery. They guided the students through a number of exercises to understand the value and mechanics of the investing process. The students interest was evidenced by their active engagement and many thoughtful questions.
