Mohamed & Kendall Honored at Dream Big!

Congratulations to TCS students Kendall Curtis and Mohamed Cisse who were recognized as finalists in the Dreamers category of the Dream Big contest at The Lyric last night. This annual contest honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. having young people reflect on essay, poem, art or video on social justice themes.
Both Mohamed and Kendall submitted in the essay portion and were honored along with the other awardees on the stage of the historic Lyric Theatre. This community cultural event included song and dance and was MC’d by TCS volunteer WBAL anchor Mean Rivers. The event was filmed and will be broadcast in WBAL on Juneteenth.
This is the 3rd year in a row that TCS students have been finalists in this contest with Danny buck winning last year and Joshua Sharpe the year before.
We are so proud of all of our students and their creativity, deep reflections and developing skills and talents. Keep shining and Dreaming Big Kendall and Mohamed!
