Murder Mystery Solved!

Who committed the murder? This was the problem to solve in the special biology lab conducted by Morgan University Biology Professor Dr. Yuejin Li. This special 2 hour lab began with a presentation on genetics and blood typing before getting into the crime solving. The students learned how to test for blood type and Rh factor on materials from the “crime scene.” They emerged with strong circumstantial evidence that it was the electrician.
Professor Li talked about her life and educational journey. She was born in China and studied both there and in the United States. She has been at Morgan University since 2017 where she both teaches and is a research scientist into the cardiovascular system. Dr. Li generously shared her time and knowledge with us. Her thorough, clear and accessible teaching style was greatly appreciated by all of the students.
Last month, we reached out to the Morgan University Science Department in hopes of building a relationship that would bring science labs into TCS. Professor Li quickly and eagerly replied and has pledged to continue to help us build these ties. We are very thankful for her and look forward to the future.
