Preparing for Spring Planting

Sewing for SpringThe students have been preparing for the spring planting season by sewing liners for old milk crates that will become planters.  Under the guidance of our greenhouse educator Molly McCullagh, the students learned how to sew landscape fabric to give new life to these old crates and expand our growing potential. The class will soon start spring planting both to produce food for the school and to sell plants to raise money to keep the project going and encourage neighbors and friends to grow their own food.
