Sadie Wins Writing Award
After entering a writing piece developed in Mr. Don‘s writing class at The Community School, student Sadie Greenwood was a finalist in a writing contest held as part of the 2016 Urban Squash Individual Nationals. Sadie participated through SquashWise, a local youth program that has worked with her for several years. This summer Sadie is participating in a five-week research course at the University of Baltimore that will examine “Issues of Inequality in Housing in Baltimore.” We are very proud of Sadie’s hard work and talent!
